Gerald Wayne Moman

May 21, 1947 - January 8, 2022

Gerald Wayne Moman, age 74 of Southside passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Whitesboro Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Alan Hallmark, Rev. Larry Frederick and Rev. Jeff Chamblee will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Shane Bridges, Chris Dorsett, Mikey Hallmark, Nathaniel Frederick, Brian Bryant, Randy Hallmark, Brandon Frederick and Ethan Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Bryant, Jerry Wayne Hallmark, Ken Chaviers, Butch Wills and Lamar Rosson. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 before the funeral at the church. He is survived by his wife; Joan Moman, sons; Stacy Warren Richey and Darren Dru Richey (Angela), grandchildren; Logan Warren Richey, Alexis Brooke Richey, David Wayne Templeton and Amber Shea Knechtel, great-grandchildren; Lettie Mae Knechtel, Ty Mason Templeton and Jaxton Wayne Templeton, sisters; Anita Frederick (Larry) and Debbie Cox (Mitch), several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Dwight and Marie Moman and brother; Benny Sherill Moman. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations Whitesboro Baptist Church or your favorite church. Gerald proudly served his county in the Army and National Guard. He was an inspector for the USDA for 41 years. He was a dedicated, faithful & loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a great love for being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved teaching his grandchildren all about them. He loved watching Alabama football. He adored his sweet fur friend, Saban. He was truly a selfless man & will be missed by all family and friends. Etowah Memorial Chapel Directing
