Brenda Elaine Cole

Mrs. Brenda Lancaster Cole, aged 77, entered into eternal bliss on Saturday, March 23, 2024 with her family by her bedside. Brenda was born on January 19, 1947 in Gadsden, Alabama. She attended Emma Sansom High School and was a 1966 graduate of O’Keefe High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She married David Brian Cole on December 13th, 1968. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Brenda enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her husband and family and cherished family gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Celebration of Life will be from 2pm till 3pm on Wednesday, March 27th at the Downtown Civic Center, 623 Broad St. Gadsden, Alabama 35901 with the service to immediately follow at 3pm. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Flora Mae (Womack) Lancaster and in-laws, William Howard and Jacqueline (Cearley) Cole Sr. Other family members now rejoicing with her in Heaven are her brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Mary (Cole) Lancaster; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Ruth Ann (Cole) Moore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Geraldine Cole; sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Lancaster) and William Cole; brother, Dennis Lancaster; brother-in-law, Douglas Cole; niece, Susan Nichelle Lancaster; and nephew, Joshua Wilkins. Those remaining to greet her again include her loving husband of 55 years, David B. Cole; daughters, Dava (John) Fleming and Crystal (Rodney) Precise; sons, Brian (Shanna) Cole and Matthew Cole; grandsons, Michael (Kayla) Hammonds, Colin Cheatwood, Josh Fleming, Jake (Caitlyn) Warden, Aaron Precise, and Isaac Fleming; granddaughters, Cailee Cheatwood, Summer Precise, Autumn Precise, Kaitlyn Fleming, and Alexis Fleming; great-grandchildren; Isaiah Johnson, Bailee Hammonds, Riley Johnson, Kynnedi Hammonds, Baylor Johnson, Kade Hammonds, Myka Hammonds and Willow Warden; sisters, Glenda (Bruce) Calhoun and Rhonda Lancaster; brother, Paul (Darcy) Lancaster; and in-laws, Mamie (Johnny) Armistead, Sharon Cole, and Judy (Benny) Higgins. Several generations of nieces and nephews also remain to cherish her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville. The family also wishes to extend a special thanks to the GRMC nurses and Shepherd’s Cove Hospice staff that cared for Brenda during the last few weeks of her life. Etowah Memorial Chapel Directing
