Charles Edward Chaviers

Charles Edward Chaviers, 73, of Boaz, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that Heaven has gained a cherished soul. Born on September 9, 1951, Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a treasured friend to many. He had an unwavering love for God and his family, finding his greatest joy in the time spent with them. Charles had a deep appreciation for the outdoors—he loved planting flowers, enjoying nature, and watching wildlife. A hardworking and dedicated mechanical engineer at CFI, he took great pride in his career and work ethic, always striving to provide for those he loved. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Martha Kaye Chaviers. High school sweethearts, they were inseparable throughout their lives. He also leaves behind his devoted daughters: Brooke (Eddie) Sims Jamie (Don) Shirley, and Destiny Tucker. His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren—Madie & Allison Shirley, Kaylan (Trey) Beam, Branden (Savannah) Sims, Sienna, Ariana, Brayden, Emory Tucker—as well as his precious great grandchildren, Brynlee, Avery, Moses Sims, and Kamden Beam. He is also survived by siblings and extended family members who will forever hold him in their hearts. His Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Etowah Memorial, with interment to follow at Whitesboro Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Roberson will be officiating. Friends can visit from 5 until 7 on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers: Eddie Sims, Don Shirley, Chris Tucker, Branden Sims, Trey Beam, and Hezzie Thompson. Honorary pallbearers: Employees from Choice Fabricators (CFI). The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, support, and condolences during this difficult time. Charles will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. Special thank you to NICU and CCU1 nurses and medical team at Huntsville Hospital that took such good care of him and his work family at Choice Fabricators. Arrangements are entrusted to Etowah Memorial Chapel.
