Constante "Stan" Wallace

Constante “Stan” Wallace, originally of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away with Kathy by his side, as she had been faithfully since 2012. For the past 15 years, Stan made Marshall County his home and found peace at Lake Guntersville, a place he truly loved. Stan was tough, strong, and quiet by nature. He was not overly expressive or sentimental, but he carried a steady sense of loyalty and a quiet heart for people in need. Life tested him in many ways, and through those trials he grew. He kept to himself, but when someone truly needed help, Stan would step in without hesitation. Stan shared his life with Kathy, his partner, caregiver and loyal friend. She was his advocate, provider, strength, and comfort—handling every appointment, every detail, and every hard day of his illness without leaving his side. Stan, in return, was Kathy’s protector and her sense of security. She never had to wonder if someone would love her, take care of her, or stand up for her—Stan always did. He was truly her Superman. They shared a cherished reminder of their bond through a trinket of their hands that read: “There will always be room for your hand in mine.” Stan was stepfather to Spencer Jacobs (Kaysie) and grandfather to Aiden, Lexie, Brodie, and Abel. More than anything, Stan’s heart belonged to his dogs and cat, Jama, Homer and Grub. They were his children, his constant companions, and his comfort. They were with him daily, and his love for them was unconditional and unmistakable. Anyone who truly knew Stan knew how much his dogs meant to him. Stan loved Alabama football, sports in general, and the simple peace of home—especially near the water at Lake Guntersville. Though reserved, he was dependable, strong, and loyal to those who mattered most. Stan is survived by his mother, Beverly Ann Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers Sean Wallace (Sophia) of Virginia and Kenwan Wilson (Chante) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and sister Dr. Jackie Reasor Weems (Shanard) of Atlanta, Georgia. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Marcus Wallace of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and his grandmother, Odessa Warrick Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Stan will be remembered for his strength, his quiet resilience, his devotion to Kathy, and the unconditional love he had for his dogs. His hands were strong, his presence was steady, and his place in the lives he touched will not be forgotten. Arrangements entrusted to Etowah Memorial Chapel.
