In loving memory of Don Crocker. With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Don Crocker. Don departed from this world on a tranquil Spring afternoon at 12:40 pm, March 27, 2024. He was surrounded by his cherished family, who meant the world to him. He was 80 years old and he resided in Attalla. Don's life was a testament to the power of love and family bonds. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Jean Crocker, his son Max Crocker, and his daughter Elizabeth Crocker. Though he has reunited with his son David Crocker in the afterlife, his love for him remains eternal. Don's legacy extends beyond his immediate family, embracing his stepchildren Gary Ledbetter and Elizabeth (Stephen) Giles, as well as his grandchildren Cheyenne, Adalynn, Loren, Joby, Jayden, Zeke, Marie, and Leah. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, each touched by his warmth and kindness. In every aspect of his life, Don embodied virtues of faith, kindness, and compassion. His generosity knew no bounds; he would readily offer his last dollar to help those in need, confident in the belief that God would provide. Don's spirit was as steadfast as it was gentle, and his infectious laughter brightened the darkest of days. A family man through and through, Don found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the company of loved ones. He relished in family gatherings, where his culinary talents shone as brightly as his smile. His humor was a guiding light, always ready with a joke to lift spirits and illuminate the brighter side of life. Don lived a life blessed with love, laughter, and unwavering strength. He was a firecracker, gentle yet resolute, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. In honoring Don's memory, let us carry forward his legacy of love and kindness, just as he would have wished. As we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, may we find solace in knowing that his spirit continues to shine brightly, guiding us through life's journey until we meet again. Rest in peace, dear Don, knowing that you were dearly loved and will be deeply missed. His funeral service will be Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Etowah Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Unity Cemetery. Rev. Chris Claborn will officiate his service and pallbearers will be his family and friends.
